Municipal listings

Most backflow programs keep a list of the testers they accept reports from, or register them in their own systems. Spec-Mark Group is on these published lists:

  • Region of Peel: qualified contractor list, last updated May 2026.
  • City of Markham: list of qualified persons, as of March 12, 2026, under the former name Spec-Mark Mechanical.
  • City of Vaughan: Approved Qualified Company List, all functions, updated October 12, 2026.
  • Town of Aurora: Approved Qualified Company List, all functions, updated August 7, 2026.
  • Region of Durham: qualified contractor list, kept by Backflow Solutions Inc. (BSI), under the former name.

The City of Toronto registers testers but publishes no list. It accepts an ASSE certificate issued within the last three years, and our testers file reports through the City's online system. For a property in Halton Region, the City of Hamilton or the City of Richmond Hill, send us the notice and we confirm the next step.

Installation and repair work is carried out by licensed plumbers, and the company is insured for commercial work. A certificate of insurance is available on request. Every test report is filed with the municipality that asked for it, with a copy to the property owner or manager.
