What we collect, and why

Booking and service requests. The booking page and the new-client form on the heating and cooling page collect your name, phone number, email address and company. They also collect the property address, what you are asking for, and anything you type in the notes. We use it to reply, to prepare a quote or a visit, and to file test and survey reports with the municipality on your behalf.

Documents you upload. You can attach a municipal notice, a previous test report or photos of your devices. We use them to work out what the municipality is asking for and to plan the visit. They are kept with your job file.

Phone calls and email. If you call or email us, we keep the details needed to do the work and to answer you.

Website use. This site uses Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement. Google sets cookies to count visits and to tell us which pages, calls and requests follow an advertisement; the data goes to Google LLC under its privacy policy, and you can block it with Google's browser add-on or your browser's cookie settings. The hosting service keeps standard server logs, including the address your connection comes from, to keep the site secure and running.

Fonts. The typeface is served from this site. No request goes to a font service.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent your details to anyone.
• We do not use your details for marketing beyond the service you asked about. We send test reminders to clients whose devices we test, and you can ask us to stop at any time.
• This site has no user accounts, no comments and no embedded social media.

Who we share it with

Municipal backflow programs receive the test and survey reports you have engaged us to file; in Durham the Region's administrator, Backflow Solutions Inc., receives them. Each report includes the property address, the owner's and contact details, and the device details. We also share the details a job needs with the building department that issues a permit, and with any engineer or subcontractor we engage for your job. Requests sent through the forms on this site reach us by email through Resend, Inc., which keeps a copy of each message for 30 days. The forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to confirm that a submission comes from a person; Turnstile processes technical details of your connection and browser under Cloudflare's privacy policy and sets no cookie used for tracking. The hosting and email services may process the data outside Canada. We share details with no one else unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Job records, including test reports, are kept for as long as we service the property and for seven years afterwards, because municipalities and insurers can ask for them. Requests that do not become a job are deleted within twelve months.

Your choices

You can ask to see what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted where we are not required to keep it. You can also ask us to stop sending reminders at any time. Write to [email protected].
