Welcome to the inaugural post of the Spec-Mark Mechanical blog, the GTA’s number one upcoming commercial plumbing company! We’re thrilled to share our journey as we establish ourselves as the premier backflow prevention and medical gas services provider in the Greater Toronto Area. As we approach our official launch in the summer of 2024, we want to keep you informed about our progress and the exciting developments happening at Spec-Mark mechanical.
Our Mission and Vision
At Spec-Mark Mechanical, our core mission is to provide exceptional backflow prevention services and ensure the safety of our community’s water supply. We’re committed to delivering top-notch solutions for commercial, industrial, institutional, and multi-residential properties, focusing on compliance, education, and customer satisfaction.
Milestones and Achievements
As of July 1st, 2024, we’re proud to announce several significant milestones:
- Official licenses and insurance secured for operations across Toronto, including:
- Etobicoke
- North York
- Downtown Toronto
- Scarborough
- Expansion into Durham Region, covering:
- Whitby
- Oshawa
- Clarington
- Courtice
- Pickering
- Pending insurance approvals for Markham and Richmond Hill
- Registration with the City of Toronto
Our founder shares an interesting insight: “I just got Spec-Mark registered with the City of Toronto. Interestingly, it seems the city doesn’t have a qualified persons registry for companies, unlike other regions.”
Gearing Up for Success
We’re excited to announce that our first service truck is currently being outfitted with the Spec-Mark logo and professional detailing. This vehicle will soon be on the roads, ready to serve our clients with prompt and efficient backflow testing and inspection services.
Our Expertise and Services
As we prepare for our official launch, we’re focusing on honing our expertise in various areas, including:
- Cross-connection surveys
- Medical gas piping
- Pipe freezing
- Maintenance and repair of backflow prevention devices
- Installation and permit assistance
We’re also proud to be aligning our practices with industry standards set by organizations such as the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and the American Society of Sanitary Engineering (ASSE).
